This week, our first guest post about photography, we have Samah, a great landscape photographer who is writing for her blog God & Wanderlust. I definitively like her works with warm these colors that makes her pictures very mysterious. Here her words and photos about a very cold place sometimes, but absolutely fascinating for its lakes and mountains. British Columbia, Canada.

An adventurers haven, British Columbia boasts some of Canada’s tallest mountain peaks, pristine glacier-fed lakes and a plethora of pine tree forests and hiking trails. The province maintains its beauty year-round, attracting hordes of tourists in the summer to enjoy the warm, coastal weather and in the winter, where skiers and snowboarders hit the snowy mountain slopes. Fall is magical—tourists decline and a dense fog swirls around tree tops and veils mountain peaks. The grey skies cast a mystic ambiance, sourcing rain outpours or parting to let the sun glisten through. Vancouver is a must visit—especially Stanley park and the Granville Bridge. Drive along the breathtakingly scenic Sea to Sky Highway to Squamish to hike the Shannon Falls Trail and cross a railroad to visit Brandywine Falls. Whistler is a good option to view Cheakamus Lake—turquoise and glacier-fed, surrounded by a cedar tree forest and looming mountains, just a short 3 km hike away from its parking lot.

I’m completely sold! I didn’t get to see anywhere like this when I visited Canada for the first time last year. I really want to go back and see British Columbia, I’m sure it’s even more beautiful in person!
